The Indian healthcare landscape is currently seeing a surge in unregulated and unevaluated AI applications.
Built for India.Anchored in evidence.
PrAImaan is a collaborative initiative to build a national platform for evaluation of AI in healthcare.
What is PrAImaan?
To address this critical gap in safety and validation, PrAImaan was established.
PrAImaan is a strategic collaboration between the ICMR-NIRDH and Ashoka University. The platform draws inspiration from MOOVE, developed at the LiGHT Lab, EPFL, adapting world-class methodology to the Indian healthcare ecosystem.
What Are We Doing?
Building a clinician-led evaluation platform for health AI.
We are building a collaborative evaluation platform for AI in Indian healthcare, where healthcare professionals can interact with various frontier AI models and evaluate their outputs.
PrAImaan also supports the education and training of Indian physicians in the validation and evaluation of AI.
Through onsite, hands-on hackathon-style workshops such as the valiDATAthon, clinicians can earn a certification, strengthen their foundational knowledge of AI, ML, and LLMs, and build practical skills for evaluating AI models in healthcare.
Through this clinician-led evaluation process, and by applying rigorous testing benchmarks, the ultimate goal is to build and validate localized, domain-specific models.
This will ensure models are culturally context-aware, thoroughly vetted, and safe for organizations to deploy.

How Can I Be Involved?
Help shape safer AI for Indian healthcare
PrAImaan is a platform powered by the medical community. You can get involved by participating in a ValiDATAthon, a collaborative hackathon-style event where clinicians directly evaluate, vote on, and calibrate AI models across multiple metrics. Your insights will directly contribute to building safe, localized AI tools for India.
